WHAT I WORE | THE COBALT TWO PIECE SUIT

Missguided Two Piece Suit Blazer & Shorts* | Missguided Sandals | Evil Eye Necklace* | Forever21 Necklace*
There's a story behind why I love this two-piece suit so much. When I was interning in London, I had moments when I felt a little out of my depth. What you wear is so important during an internship, not only in making an impression, but in making sure you feel good about yourself. They determine whether you're ready to face a day or whether you just might as well go back home and shy away from it.
Three weeks into my internship I got really sick. A combination of going a little too hard at the London life and forgetting hand sanitizer on the tube left me feeling pretty damn horrendous. It took a while for me to recover and even when I wasn't coughing my guts up I was still making silly mistakes. I felt fed up, frustrated and full of bad luck.
But there's nothing like the feeling of being in London to wrap you up in the hustle and bustle of city life, that's buzzing with ambition and people putting their dreams into practice. There was this woman in Carnaby St wearing a cobalt suit, a lot like this one, and she just looked so well put together. I guess she was a journalist, or someone in media. It felt hard imagining what it must be like to be that person who looks well put together and like they've got it all.
Since then, I guess you could say I've been on the quest for a cobalt suit. You know when a piece of clothing, or a colour, just sticks in your head and you can't get it out until you've got your hands on it. It's brave, and loud, and just says "I can do this". And I know I can do it. There's no point in shying away from life - 2014 has been about making it happen, and I'm going to keep on doing just that.
Missguided have seriously nailed it with their AW14 collection and as I wrote about here, it's definitely something to be excited about. Everything landing in their "New In" is going straight onto my Wishlist Pinterest board. A cobalt suit is the perfect transitional piece for Autumn, dipping into the new season colour palette and going for something a little bit more brave.

What do you think of this outfit? Are you going to be wearing cobalt this season? Do you have any pieces of clothing that make you feel ready to kick ass?
